Goin Native was born in the oldest residential district of South California. Through its workshops and consulting, Goin Native expands garden knowledge with creative, practical and easy terminology while advancing the art of playing in the dirt. Their philosophy is one of hands-on knowledge using sustainable and drought tolerant plants in the garden to promote mindful conservation.
Goin Native was growing, and so were its online needs. Goin Native was in need of updating their brand image and expand the online services they offered their students and customers.
Allowing class registration on the website was a key feature requireed out of the new site, as well as e-commerce and a weblog.
Our first priority was learning all we could about the style and practices of Goin Native. We designed a logo that fit their values — it was clean and modern, while also emphasizing native grasses and desert colors.
In tandem to designing the new logo, we built out the website and packed it with features. In addition to the standard items such as a blog and photo gallery, we also integrated both their class registration and online storefront into a single e-commerce system. This way, customers could register for classes and purchase from the online store from the same shopping cart!
These items, coupled with an SEO overhaul and analytics package, increased conversions and traffic within a matter of weeks.
